You are invited to the private viewing & launch of Sacred Sewing™, a movement of sewing circles for remaking & upcycling our clothes to match our true personality and a showcase from my design archive over the last 35 years as a Designer, Upcycler, Artisan and a Supplier to luxury labels & heritage brands. Some of the pieces I’ve made for myself and the inspiration behind other collections.
And if you arrive by 4pm or earlier you could also come and see the incredible Red Dress exhibition that is held at Ace Arts directly opposite the gallery.
The Red Dress is a 14-year, award winning global, collaborative embroidery project 2009-2023. The Red Dress project conceived by British artist Kirstie Macleod, provides an artistic platform for individuals (majority women) around the world, many of whom are vulnerable and live in poverty, to tell their story through embroidery.

A 2-hour unique masterclass teaching ways to customise, upcycle and transform your old or ugly garments into treasured original pieces that express your true personality. Katie and collaborators will asist you in co-creating your clothes, combining treasured materials and trims from saved waste or foraged finds to re make your Wow wardrobe pieces.
