Vintage Scarf Top Inspiration

I recently held a workshop at the Knitting and Stitching Show on how to create a top from a vintage scarf and received such wonderful feedback from one of the attendees that I had to share it with you.

The workshop aims to encourage upcycling by showing you how to give new life to a scarf that perhaps doesn’t see the light of day as much it should! By re-using and recycling old garments that were once forgotten, you can transform them into something uniquely stylish and beautiful that you can wear again and again.

If you feel inspired to do something similar, use Victoria’s creation to spur you on to either joining me for a workshop or attempting this yourself at home using the attached guide.

“I did the workshop with you on Friday and started a halter top. I added the finishing bits yesterday (a hook and eye for the collar and some discrete buttons for the back – all recycled!) and have attached some photos here.

Thanks so much, can’t wait to wear the top out!”
